By inserting fine needles into specific points around the body we are able to treat a multitude of conditions. These points connect to complex energy and nerve pathways throughout the body to promote healing. These pathways are referred to as Meridians or Channels and the energy flowing through them is referred to as Qi.
Acupuncture allows the patients body to self regulate and helps the qi to flow unhindered through them. Traditional Chinese Medicine views pain and illness as a disrupted or blocked Channel. Acupuncture aims at resolving these blockages and encouraging the body’s innate ability to heal. Acupuncture, as practiced by a registered and licensed practitioner, aims to treat both the symptoms and the root causes of disease and is considered a safe, non-invasive, effective and drug free healing modality.
